It can be difficult to know exactly where to start when deciding upon a style for your new kitchen.
Whilst it may seem somewhat daunting, it’s now easier than ever before to get inspiration and ideas to assist you in your decision making process.
It’s always a good idea to have some thoughts as to the type of kitchen you like, prior to visiting a kitchen showroom. Equally before your visit, contemplate the styles of kitchen that are less appealing! This useful information will assist our designers, saving time and enabling us to produce designs more readily in-tune with your tastes and requirements.
First things first, the practical stuff!
Create a source book for your inspiration. Start by writing a list of what you would like to achieve with your kitchen space in terms of practicalities. Consider the kind of cooking you like to do, how often you like to cook, and on average how many you are feeding?
By asking yourself these simple and logical questions, our designers will have a clearer picture of your storage requirements for ingredients, utensils, pots and pans and cleaning materials.
Also question what you would like to achieve from your overall kitchen space? Do you need a dedicated seating or dining area? This consideration is of particular importance if your new kitchen is be used as a space for both cooking and entertaining in. An island or a peninsula island may be an option, providing additional cupboard storage and seating, whilst visually separating the cooking and socialising zones.
Don’t forget to mention to our designers how your kitchen is orientated, so that they can capitalise on available light and the views outside.
